PITTSBURGH —– The Block Northway is proud to host its 8th Annual Kids Safety Event on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., bringing together local first responders, community organizations, and families for an afternoon focused on safety, education, and fun.
The event will feature approximately 30 participating organizations providing valuable safety resources and interactive experiences for children and families. Attendees can explore emergency vehicles including fire trucks, police cars, and EMS units, meet local heroes, and learn important safety tips in an engaging environment.
Highlights of the event include:
- Live demonstrations, including a canine unit presentation
- Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Balloon Creations and Paint Monkey
- Raffle prizes and giveaways from participating businesses
- Family-friendly activities throughout the property
- A variety of food trucks offering refreshments and treats
“This event is one of our most meaningful community initiatives each year,” said Jamie Pavlot, Mall Manager. “It brings together families and local organizations in a way that is both educational and fun, while reinforcing important safety awareness for children.”
The Kids Safety Event is FREE and open to the public. Ample parking is available on-site.
