PITTSBURGH —– The Block Northway will feature Sloane Simon, from 3:30 -5:30 p.m. at the July 23rd Friday Farmer’s Market event located between DSW and Land’s End.
Pairing pop beats with airy vocals, Sloane is a Pittsburgh based singer-songwriter whose songs create an eternal summertime feel. Sloane is a 16-year-old season 4 American Idol contestant and an award-winning songwriter whose work has been recognized by the National YoungArts Foundation and WYEP’s Reimagination Project. She has performed at the Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), The Dolby Theater and The Viper Room (LA). Locally, she has been featured at the Three Rivers Arts Festival, and the Millvale and Deutschtown Music Festival.
Farmer’s Market, produced in partnership with I Made It Market, is a weekly farmer’s market featuring a diverse collection of local vendors offering fresh, locally grown produce, local meats and cheeses, canned goods, local honey, fine spirits, flowers, unique hand-made gifts, and much more. This year we will also include food trucks, and entertainment. Listing of vendors and food truck participants will be announced weekly through The Block Northway’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
A taste of the featured Farmers Market vendors will include Jodikinos Farms, The Olive Tap, The Cakery, Wigle Whiskey, Vibo’s Italian Bakery, Nedalgyro, PSquare Scents, Pip & Lola’s, Ocho Salsa, Baked True North and many more.
