PITTSBURGH —– The Block Northway will hold their 4th Annual Kid’s Safety Event on Friday, June 24th at the south corridor located between DSW and Land’s End from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be free demonstrations by Ross Township Police K-9 and safety equipment; Fire Trucks, EMS and Police Vehicles, and information provided by a variety of organizations. Enjoy face painting, balloon art, Paint Monkey, and a chance to win amazing prizes.
Participating organizations include the Allegheny County Fire Marshall, Pitt Police, Be Smart, Berkeley Hills VFC, Every Child, Inc., North Hills Community Outreach, Peebles VFC, Perrysville VFC, Pittsburgh Poison Center, Ross – West View/ EMS, Ross Township Police Department, Passavant Hospital Foundation, West Penn Burn Center, Crisis Center North, AHN Pediatrics, AHN Pediatric Orthopedic Institute, and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
The Block Northway will also feature a weekly Farmers Market, produced in partnership with I Made It Market. There will be a diverse collection of local vendors offering fresh, locally grown produce, local meats, fine spirits, flowers, unique hand-made gifts, food trucks and much more. Adults and kids alike will enjoy shopping this festive weekly happening.
Each week guests visiting the marketplace can expect to find small business vendors to include locally grown farm fresh goods, fresh meat and cheeses, canned goods fresh from the farm, local eggs, flowers, honey and other goodies.
